Langa has a background in snowboarding which makes it easier for him to master skateboarding as the two sports are almost the same sans the snow and plus wheels. He met a new transfer from Canada, Langa Hasegawa, who he brought to the "S" and got him interested in skating. SK8 the Infinity follows the story of a high school student, Reki Kyan who studies during the day and skates during the night.
